Cardio In Jump Rope

There have been some that have used jump ropes to lose weight.  It makes sense, it creates a certain amount of cardio while requiring some muscle to make certain jumps, as well as coordination.  I used to be really good at it when I was a kid, and that was our main recess activity in the summer, that and over the wall and trying to get the metal swings to actually go over the swing set in a full circle.  I actually got really close a few times, not quite making it I think because they had some kind of built in restrictions at the top and I got scared.  That being said, a lot of people use childhood things like this.  They also use trampolines, but mini trampolines generally speaking.  It’s no miracle exercise or diet plan.  But it can definitely be fun, and you really get yourself going.  Now with jumping rope, it’s not nearly as easy as you think, and honestly I’m pretty sure I had more muscle tone and energy as a kid.  But as with any exercise, you have to build up your endurance and other levels for proper exercise, and in the meantime you should really supplement in other exercises to get up to at least 30 minutes of regular cardio.
