The 8 Minute Workout

There are 8 minute workouts that some participate in and they are said to leave them soaking in sweat and losing inches after just a few days as well as of course the pounds.  Many find this hard to believe for understandable reasons.  But if you haven’t noticed, many of these tend to be bigger people.  The internal organs are the biggest metabolizers pound for pound.  So those who are obese generally speaking tend to have higher metabolisms even though that doesn’t make sense.  That being said, if they also just started exercising recently and they have no real history of exercising before that, the smallest exercises can get their heart rate up and going and therefore it would explain the extreme sweating with little exertion.  Over time, this effect will go down and then they will have to use more regular exercises in terms of time and effort.  This being said, even with all those factors considered, 8 minutes is not enough time to actually get the heart rate up and burn more fat to a greater extent.  You could burn about 100 calories at most during an extremely arduous 8 minute workout.  However, this is highly unlikely even then, and it would be inconsequential either way.  However, the results are unlikely in general, and it is more likely that people using this method are exaggerating their own results.
